As we approached the sandbar, the water became shallow and calm, revealing a wide stretch of fine white sand that sparkles under the Florida sun. One of the most incredible parts of visiting the Bokeelia Sandbar is the wildlife. During our visit, we encountered more than 10–15 manatees swimming peacefully right next to the boat, an unforgettable sight for everyone on board. These gentle giants often travel through Gasparilla Sound, making this area a fantastic place for wildlife watching.

We also spotted dolphins cruising through the nearby waters, along with many coastal birds resting and feeding along the sandbar. Ospreys frequently circle above, scanning the water for fish before diving with impressive precision.
