About Me
My name is Pavel Popov, owner and operator of Florida Gulf Discovery LLC. I am a fully licensed U.S. Coast Guard OUPV (“6-Pack”) Captain, providing insured, professional private boating experiences throughout Gasparilla Sound, Pine Island Sound, Lemon Bay, and the surrounding Southwest Florida waters.
I’ve been cruising the waters of Southwest Florida for over 15 years, and there’s nothing I love more than showing folks the magic of this coast from the best seat in the house: our boat!
Whether we’re spotting dolphins, exploring hidden mangrove tunnels, or dropping anchor at a secret sandbar, I make sure every tour is more than just sightseeing—it’s an adventure. I keep things laid-back, fun, and flexible. Want to crank up the tunes and BYOB? Let’s go. Prefer a quiet ride with nothing but the breeze and the sound of the waves? I’ve got you.
I know these waters like the back of my hand. I’ll show you places most tourists never see—and probably toss in a few bad jokes along the way (you’ve been warned).
