Your trip begins at Eldred’s Marina, 6300 Boca Grande Causeway, Placida, Florida 33946. Meet Captain Pavel at the Tackle Shop and plan to arrive 15 minutes before departure. Paid parking is available; weekends and holidays may require additional arrival time.

After leaving Placida, the boat travels south past the Gasparilla Island area and into Pine Island Sound. Depending on the chosen route and conditions, the journey may include views toward Boca Grande, Cayo Costa, Useppa Island and the mangrove islands scattered through the sound.

Dolphins may surface beside the boat, manatees may appear in protected areas, and ospreys, pelicans and other coastal birds are often visible. These are wild animals, so sightings can never be promised—but watching the water is always part of the adventure.

Cabbage Key is accessible by boat and feels separated from mainland Florida. From the dock, guests can walk beneath tropical vegetation, visit the historic inn, see the famous Dollar Bill Bar and enjoy elevated views across Pine Island Sound.

Lunch is the classic choice, although the meal and timing can be planned around current restaurant hours, dock availability and the length of your tour. Food, beverages and restaurant charges are separate from the boat-tour price.

Please allow enough tour time for docking, walking and dining. A restaurant visit should feel like part of the day—not something rushed between two boat rides. Captain Pavel can recommend a schedule that balances the meal with the destinations you would also like to experience.
