1 Choose Your Tour Direction

2 Departing Placida
Our Beach Landing Boat Tours depart from Eldred's Marina in Placida. Placida places us close to the barrier islands, Gasparilla Sound, Charlotte Harbor and the Intracoastal Waterway, giving us excellent choices in both directions.
From the marina, we can head North toward Little Gasparilla Island, Stump Pass, Lemon Bay and Venice, or turn South toward Boca Grande, Cayo Costa and the islands farther down the coast.
At the end of the trip, we return by boat to our Placida departure point. This makes the experience a complete coastal journey rather than a one-way transfer between cities.
The actual route can change with tide, wind, water depth, boat traffic and the interests of your group. Captain Pavel selects a practical route while keeping the day flexible.
3 Beach Landings Along the Route
One of the best parts of exploring Southwest Florida by boat is reaching shorelines that feel completely different from beaches approached by road. Barrier islands, passes and quiet stretches of shoreline can become natural stopping points during the trip.
Where landing is appropriate and permitted, we can step ashore and spend time on the beach. Guests may walk the shoreline, look for shells, take photographs, swim, snorkel or simply find a quiet place to relax.
A beach stop does not have to consume the whole day. It may be one part of a longer journey that also includes an island cruise, sandbar stop, dolphin encounter or waterfront meal. That flexibility is what makes a private tour different from following a fixed excursion schedule.

4 Sandbars & Shallow-Water Stops

Depending on tide and conditions, we can anchor in a suitable area and enjoy time off the boat. Guests can wade in the shallows, cool off, swim, snorkel or simply relax with open water around them.
These stops are especially enjoyable because every tide can change the appearance of a sandbar. A place that is mostly underwater at one time of day may later reveal a broad stretch of sand and shallow clear water.
Captain Pavel evaluates water depth, current, tide, weather and boat traffic before choosing an appropriate location. The goal is not to force a predetermined stop, but to use the conditions to find the best experience available that day.
5 North from Placida
Heading North from Placida gives us a varied route through barrier islands, passes, protected bays and the Intracoastal Waterway.
Little Gasparilla Island is immediately North of our Placida starting area and offers a classic barrier-island setting with beaches accessible from the water.
Continuing North brings us toward Stump Pass, where Lemon Bay opens toward the Gulf. Nearby shorelines, shallow areas and changing sand formations make this an interesting place to explore from the boat.
Farther into Lemon Bay, we can travel through Ski Alley, continue alongside Manasota Key, and explore the Englewood-area waterways. Depending on the length of the trip, the route can extend toward Caspersen Beach and Venice.
The North route can be built around beach time, swimming, snorkeling, wildlife watching, coastal sightseeing or a waterfront dining stop rather than simply trying to reach the farthest point possible.
6 South from Placida
Traveling South from Placida opens a different collection of beaches, islands, passes and protected waterways.
One of the closest favorite stops is Boca Grande Sandbar, where tide and current continually reshape the shallow-water environment. From there, we can explore the waters around Gasparilla Island and Boca Grande.
A longer South journey may continue toward Cayo Costa, with its natural barrier-island shoreline and Old Florida character. From there, the coastal route opens toward Pine Island and the islands farther South.
Depending on trip length and conditions, we can continue toward North Captiva, Captiva and Sanibel. These longer routes are about more than reaching a destination. The islands, waterways, wildlife and unexpected discoveries between Placida and the turnaround point are all part of the experience.
We choose stops according to the day rather than trying to visit every location on one trip. That keeps the tour relaxed and gives guests enough time to actually enjoy the places we visit.
7 Dolphins & Coastal Wildlife
Dolphins and wildlife are part of the coastal environment we travel through, not a performance scheduled for a specific time. That is exactly what makes a natural encounter memorable.
While traveling between beaches and islands, we may encounter dolphins near passes, channels, sandbars or open stretches of the Intracoastal Waterway. Manatees may also appear in protected waters, while pelicans, ospreys, herons and other coastal birds are common throughout the region.
If wildlife activity develops along our route, we can slow down and enjoy it without abandoning the rest of the day's plan. A dolphin encounter may happen while traveling to a beach, returning from an island or cruising toward lunch.

9 E-Foil & Paddleboard Adventures
For guests who want to do more than relax on the beach, Captain Pavel can also make paddleboard and E-Foil activities part of the experience when location, weather and water conditions are suitable.
A paddleboard gives you a quiet way to explore protected water close to an island, beach or shallow shoreline. Beginners can learn the basics, experienced guests can practice, or you can simply paddle out and explore the area around our stop.
The E-Foil adds a completely different type of fun. Captain Pavel can introduce you to the equipment and help with learning or practice, while experienced riders can enjoy a fun ride above the water.
These activities are optional and can become one part of a customized day. We find an appropriate location, spend some time learning, practicing or exploring, and then continue the boat journey.
